Coming off a commanding 4-0 victory over D.C United a week ago, NYCFC was looking for consecutive victories. Going with a similar set-up, Patrick Vieira made a lone switch on the defensive line in where Ethan White made his season debut on the right side of the defense.
The boys in blue got on the scoreboard first thanks to another Rodney Wallace goal, but early in the second half, the Montreal Impact knotted everything up. Despite putting some real chances on goal, NYCFC walked away with one lone point.
Not entirely bad for Vieira’s squad right before they hit the international break, but you definitely sensed the frustration.
