The New York Red Bulls are coming off a disappointing loss at the hands of RSL, and are looking to bounce back against the Loons. The international break complicates matters for Jesse Marsch as he will be without Kemar Lawrence, Tyler Adams, Michael Murillo and Fidel Escobar.
As far as formations go, The Red Bulls have run a 4-2-3-1 or 3-3-3-1 to start the season. Against RSL, The Red Bulls lined up in a 3-3-3-1, but on the night, the end-product wasn’t there. This time around I predict Marsch reverts back to a 4-2-3-1, especially with some key players away on international duty.
