According to Julie Stewart-Binks of FOX Sports, the New York Red Bulls “are looking to sign Omer Damari from Red Bull Leipzig, deal not finalized.” Even though the NYRB are one of the best scoring teams in MLS so far this year, they would be looking to add depth with this move. They will be competing in Champions League this year and will need more quality players on their roster.
The Israeli international spent last season on loan with Red Bull Salzburg in Austria after joining RB Leipzig in 2015. Damari has only appeared in 10 games for Leipzig and has not recorded a goal.
