NEW YORK -- Jon Patricof has been hired as president of New York City FC, becoming the third leader of the Major League Soccer team as it heads into its second season.
He's the former president of Tribeca Enterprises, which owns the Tribeca Film Festival, and a former employee of The Walt Disney Co. He is a son of Alan Patricof, who founded the private equity firm Apax Partners.

Patricof's hiring was announced Wednesday and he starts his new job in March.
