New England Revolution Vs Toronto FC: 3 things we learned – Oh dear Quentin Westberg

Toronto FC scrapped to a 1-1 draw against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night. Although the Reds lined up in Greg Vanney’s preferred 4-3-3 formation, the first half painted a familiar picture for TFC fans. Toronto had the lion’s share of possession and created a couple of half-chances but were fortunate not to fall behind considering Gustavo Bou and Juan Agudelo could have put the home side ahead before the break.

Switching from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 to start the second half, Toronto FC became more dangerous in attack, failing to capitalize on three golden opportunities in the 51st minute.
