Playing a 4-1-4-1, the New England Revolution dominated in just about every phase of their home contest against Orlando City SC. They out-shot Orlando 21-8, controlled 60% of the possession and won 12 corners, a clear illustration of their overall command of the match.
In the end, it was a consummate 2-0 win for Brad Friedel’s side, a strong overall team performance by the Revolution, punctuated by some excellent individual displays.
Here were three star players from the comfortable 2-0 win over the Lions.
3. Brad Knighton
There was not much to do on the night, but when called upon, Brad Knighton came up with the big save.
