It’s been a storied rivalry over the last 23-years, with the teams playing in some lopsided matches, low-scoring thrillers, and three MLS Cup Finals. The Galaxy have won all three of those championship matches in extra time, including in New England in 2002.
Overall, the teams have been very evenly matched on the field, yet LA has been the more successful franchise. While the Galaxy have won five MLS Cups, the Revolution have gone 0-5 in MLS Cup Finals.
There has also been the player signings, like Robbie Keane and Sebastian Lletget, that the Galaxy got and the Revs missed.
