A fantastic mid-week performance from the Montreal Impact allowed them to successfully recover from a disappointing loss to FC Dallas on Saturday, dispatching Orlando City 3-0 in impressive fashion.
Ignacio Piatti was the star player of the night for the home side as he recorded his second multi-goal match of the season.
He gave the Impact the lead in the fifth minute when he converted a spot kick. An own goal by Amro Tarek made it 2-0 and put Orlando it some difficulty entering the final half hour.
Piatti ensured all three points would belong to the Impact in the 92nd minute as he slipped past Joe Bendik for a routine finish.
