Montreal Impact gave up a one-goal advantage in stoppage time as they played out a frenetic 2-2 draw at the Chicago Fire. Both sides took the lead at some point in the 90 minutes and also ended it with 10 men following the dismissals of Juninho and Cabrera respectively.
The home team opened the scoring with the help of a 17th-minute header from their latest signing Bastian Schweinsteiger before Matteo Mancosu leveled proceedings in similar fashion in the second half. Ballou Tabla then scored a vital goal in the 90th minute to put the visitors ahead but that wasn’t enough as Luis Solignac reduced his side’s deficit with a fine finish minutes later.
