Montreal Impact: 3 things we learned from devastating LAFC loss

Typically, a club that has a player record a hat-trick comes away with all three points. However, that was not the case for Montreal Impact against LAFC.

Ignacio Piatti’s first-half hat-trick was overshadowed by the visitor’s second-half rally that saw them score four unanswered goals and take home the three points.

Montreal went ahead 2-0 in the opening 20 minutes of the match. Piatti scored his first two goals of the game to give the home side a dream start.

LAFC pulled one back with a wonder goal from former Impact player Laurent Ciman, but a red card in the 31st minute reduced the Impact to 10 men as Victor Cabrera brought down Marco Urena in the box.
