The MLS regular season has its quirks but the ultimate goal for every team is always the same: qualify for the MLS Cup playoffs. Teams with playoff passports already stamped are playing for the Supporters’ Shield, while San Jose has all but wrapped up the first trophy of the season, the unwanted Wooden Spoon.
