The weekend started with Major League Soccer masters, Los Angeles FC, extending their lead at the top of the Western Conference to 12 points thanks to a comfortable victory over New England. Meanwhile, the Eastern leaders, the Philadelphia Union, emphatically displayed their superiority with a resounding win on the road in D.C.
