MLS SuperDraft Review: New York Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls enjoyed a successful 2015 campaign. After having a great season, Ali Curtis promised consistency for 2016. Curtis, being a man of his word, reported that New York was bringing back most of their core players for next season.

New York did not really have any weaknesses except for their bench. In late December, they signed seven homegrown players to professional contracts. This filled out all the available roster spots the club had.

Even though they did not have any more roster spots, the team still had to strengthen their back line. Having the 18th pick in the draft they needed to grab a center back, but did they succeed?
