Since our look at the playoff picture in week three, the MLS has had a number of significant moves. German legend and World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger arrived to rejuvenate the Chicago Fire. The league also saw a few big trades go down between Columbus/Vancouver and Colorado/Minnesota.
The MLS campaign is a two-phased approach, with part one focused on making it into the playoffs. While home field advantage is beneficial in this league, anything can happen once you are in. Both Seattle and Portland have proven the value of a late run and being on the right side of the red line.
