MLS Player Power Rankings Week 5: Who would come out on top?

It was a great weekend for MLS soccer as we had the MLS debut of Bastian Schweinsteiger, and what a start it was. The German midfielder would only need 17 minutes to score his first MLS goal in front of a raucous Chicago Fire crowd. While Schweinsteiger was scoring, Minnesota United was winning, and winning big. Minnesota would get their first MLS win of their short franchise history.

There are some new players on the MLS Player Power Rankings with the likes of Justin Meram and Christian Ramirez jumping into the top 10. There was also a change at the top of the leaderboard with Erick “Cubo” Torres taking over the top spot from the injured Josef Martinez.
