As MLS is celebrating the ‘Soccer for All’ scheme through June, Minnesota United hosted Pride Night on Friday with FC Dallas coming to town. Much of the focus was off the pitch as Collin Martin publicly came out on the morning of the game, but between the white lines, there was much to play for.
Three points are precious in MLS and both these teams were looking to put recent wrongs right. Minnesota had won only one of their last six MLS games, while Dallas had lost two games in succession including a 3-0 thumping against the ten-man New York Red Bulls.
