Minnesota United head to Atlanta, looking to avenge early season rout

Related Topics: Atlanta, Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The atmosphere at the matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium so far have been daunting for the opposition, and Atlanta has responded with results.

In 6 matches at the new stadium, Atlanta has 5 wins and 1 draw, and have outscored their opponents 22-3 in that span, including a 7-0 shellacking of the New England Revolution. Getting a win in Atlanta will be a tough task for the Loons, but certainly one they’ll be motivated for.

A different Loons team

This is almost a completely different Minnesota team than the one that lost 6-1 in March. Christian Ramirez, Francisco Calvo, Kevin Molino, and Jèrôme Thiesson (who had just gotten off the plane a couple days prior back in March) will be the only ones starting this match that started the one in March.
