Minnesota United: Colombian defender adds key depth

We have our first Minnesota United transfer rumor of the offseason, a story that was first reported by Colombian source Fichajes Del PFC on Twitter, that has since been picked up by E Pluribus Loonum.

Minnesota United are reportedly interested in 23-year-old Colombian defender Eddie Segura of Atletico Huila, who play in Colombia’s top flight.

The story becomes even more believable when you consider Jeff Rueter’s report that the club has been scouting in Colombia recently, among other places.

A center-back who can also play as a right back, Segura made 23 appearances for Atletico Huila in the Colombian first division this season and even assumed the role of club captain later on in the season.
