Liverpool is currently running a make-shift defence as they set out to retain the coveted English Premier League title. For a number of games already this season, the Merseyside club has started two centre-midfielders at the back. Can Aaron Long amend these issues?
On Thursday night, Liverpool overcame Tottenham Hotspur 3-1, away from home. In doing so, they lost another centre-back who had already been struggling with injuries during this campaign. Joel Matip had to be substituted at half-time against Spurs, but there’s hope from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp that it’s not as serious as first thought.
