Landon Donovan took the soccer world by storm last season when he came out of retirement. He stepped on a pitch for the first time in two years, and he did so with the LA Galaxy after winning four MLS Cups together. But instead of having his 2014 win be the last memory of him, he tried and failed to ignite a title push in 2016, and it appears it’s left him wanting more.
According to ESPN’s Julie Stewart-Binks, if Donovan does return to the MLS next season, it won’t be in a Galaxy uniform:
