With two dramatic weeks of Lamar Hunt US Open Cup action already in the books, the winners from last week’s Round Two action faced off Wednesday night across the southeast looking to advance to the Fourth Round and the MLS entry into the Cup.
“Cupsets” and wild comebacks were the stories that dominated Rounds One and Two setting the stage for another exciting week of action. Round Three, however, went as scripted as payroll defeated the amateurs in all five regional matches.
