Toronto FC battled to a 1-1 draw against Los Angeles FC at Banc of California Stadium on Saturday night. TFC controlled the match in the opening 30 minutes by maintaining possession and deploying an effective man-oriented pressing scheme. The visitors out-shot the home side by a margin of 7-0 during this period, with attacker Tsubasa Endoh giving the Reds a well-deserved lead in the 19th minute.
However, LAFC worked their way back into the match in the latter stages of the first half, which was a sign of things to come. The Black and Gold’s movement in the attacking third and defensive organization allowed them to dictate proceedings throughout the second half.
