Despite being bottom of the West, the Vancouver Whitecaps put in a brave attacking performance against the LA Galaxy on Sunday night. Breaking on the Galaxy at every opportunity and taking the lead four times through Doneil Henry, Theo Blair, Tosaint Ricketts and Michaell Chirinos, Marc dos Santos’ shocked the playoff-bound Galaxy with an excellent performance that few saw coming.
Goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Carlos Antuna and Chris Pontius ensured the Galaxy kept knocking on the door but Guillermo Barros Schelotto’s men were far from vintage and shambolic at the back.
