The Los Angeles Galaxy said all week that they had to win against the Seattle Sounders if they wanted to keep their playoff hopes alive. Good job, then, that they put in one of their best performances of the entire season, just when it mattered most.
Three goals against a formidable Sounders team is quite the achievement for an LA Galaxy team that hadn’t long rid of its former coach to instigate late-season change. Seattle could have been sharper going forward, but the Galaxy were deserving of the three points, which few would have expected prior to kick off.
