The Los Angeles Galaxy embarked on the inaugural Leagues Cup campaign on Tuesday night as they hosted Liga MX side, Club Tijuana. Despite Guillermo Barros Schelotto making a string of changes, resting almost all of his stars, the Galaxy battled their way to a 2-2 draw in the 90 minutes.
They then scraped past Club Tijuana on penalties, Matt Lampson the hero saving three of them. The Galaxy now face Cruz Azul in the semi-finals.
