It has been a tough season for USMNT midfielder Jermaine Jones. He featured in just 18 Major League Soccer matches for the New England Revolution this season, and was sent off the pitch in the team’s playoff loss to D.C. United. Jones will serve a six-match ban to start the season as a result, if he remains in MLS that is.
The midfielder is currently out of contract with New England and is free to explore his options outside of MLS. While he may no longer be in the prime of his career, he is still a player that most teams could use in their lineup, and has a plethora of experience playing across Europe.
