Once upon a time, there was a team called Chivas USA. This team, a child of the great Chivas de Guadalajara from Liga MX, was expected to do great things in the MLS. Instead, they were constant basement dwellers and considered the punching bag of the Western Conference. But there was one bright spot that came out of those last few years of Chivas USA: Cubo Torres.
During his one and a half seasons with Chivas USA, Torres scored 22 goals and picked up 2 assists. His form brought the attention of the Mexican National Team and other teams around the league.
