The Houston Dash (3-7-1, 10 points) put an end to one of the most unusual streaks in professional sports Saturday night with a 3-0 win over Portland. The win ended a six game losing streak by identical 1-0 scores. The goal explosion ended a scoring drought that dated back to May 7th, 2016.
Just seven minutes into the match, Rachel Daly exorcised the 567 minute scoreless streak that had plagued Houston for 70 days. The young forward out of England got Houston going once more just as she did in the season opener as she had scored the team’s opening goal this year.
