The Houston Dash led 3-1 with less than 30 minutes of regulation time to play on Saturday night and seemed destined to finish with a rousing home win over the NWSL’s top scoring team; then it all fell apart. The Western New York Flash rallied scoring twice in the final 17 minutes behind the efforts of former Houston Dash forward Jessica McDonald. McDonald, second in the league in scoring notched her seventh goal of the season in the 73rd minute before assisting on the equalizer two minutes into stoppage.
The draw turned a much needed three points into a disappointing one point.
