Sebastian Giovinco and Andrea Pirlo noth had legitimate hopes of being named to Italy’s Euro 16 roster. Neither made the initial 30 man roster released by Italian coach Antonio Conte.
The snub of the two MLS players can be viewed from two sides. The first side is celebrating the fact that both will not miss a month or more of the MLS season for their respective teams. The other side of the coin is the disappointment of MLS not getting more recognition through some of their most talented players.
Of the two, the Giovinco omission from the roster is the most questionable.
