Gedion Zelalem in Arsenal preliminary squad to face MLS All-Star team

Arsenal have included American youngster Gedion Zelalem in their preliminary squad to face the MLS All-Star team next week.

Major League Soccer announced the Gunners' team on Friday night ahead of the July 28 game in San Jose, California.

Arsene Wenger will have some of his regular defensive players involved, including Per Mertesacker, Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, but the Gunners will be without top goal threats Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil after their long involvements at international tournaments this summer.

But Bellerin, Jack Wilshere, Granit Xhaka and Petr Cech are all included despite playing at Euro 2016, while David Ospina and Joel Campbell featured in the Copa America.
