The 2016 MLS season kicked off on Sunday afternoon and it’s been a crazy day to open the season and has been filled with many goals. Diego Fagundez opened the New England Revolution’s scoring with a great strike from outside the box.
Fagundez is one of the most dynamic MLS players. On Sunday he proved it again when the defenders gave him too much space. As a result, Fagundez took a few steps and fired on home. It appears the Revolution won’t be hurting too much without USMNT midfielder Jermaine Jones as he was traded earlier this week to the Colorado Rapids.
