The long, grueling 2016 regular season is now over for all 20 MLS clubs. 12 teams finished above the red line to make the playoffs with the top two seeds in each conference earning a knockout round bye. DC United takes on the Montreal Impact in one of four knockout round games that see the winner move on and the loser’s season ends.
During the regular season, DC United finished one point ahead of Montreal to earn the fourth seed and home-field advantage. The founding MLS side will have the supporters on its side as the game kicks off.
