The MLS Playoffs continued on Thursday night. And it was quite the evening of action, all starting with a sensational match between D.C. United and the Columbus Crew. It was D.C. that were the heavily fancied favourites, given their form, especially at home. But the Crew matched them stride for stride.
Two goals from Federico Higuain was enough to get the Crew into a penalty shoot-out. From there, some wasteful D.C. efforts saw Columbus into the Eastern Conference semi-finals.
