According to reports from NYCFC Nation and from Don Balon, David Villa has asked his former teammate at Barcelona, Andres Iniesta, to come join him in the MLS, specifically at New York City FC. The report says that after his contract expires at Barcelona, Iniesta would choose between China, Qatar, or the United States. His preference (per Don Balon) would be to come to the United States to play in the MLS. He knows plenty of players here as well as close friend and NYCFC striker David Villa.
