Portland Timbers and US Men’s National Team midfielder Darlington Nagbe looks to be close to finalizing his move to Celtic FC. The Scottish news outlet The Sun has reported that Timbers are demanding £3 million ($3.69 million) for Nagbe and it very much seems like Brendan Rogers’ side is willing to pay that money for the midfield ace. Though Rogers has other midfield targets to strengthen the middle of the pitch for the Scottish side ahead of the January transfer window, Nagbe is their number one choice.
Even though this would be an incredible move for Nagbe, promising a future of Champions League soccer and playing with and against the best in the world, Portland would be without one of their best players and playmakers.
