DaMarcus Beasley to Undergo Knee Surgery

On Monday, the Houston Dynamo announced that left-back DaMarcus Beasley will have to undergo surgery due to torn cartilage in his left knee, an injury that was picked up on Friday’s match against Orlando, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Beasley had to be subbed out in the 67th minute and Sheanon Williams came on as his replacement.

No time table was given for Beasley’s return but they will start rehabilitation immediately after the surgery takes place. The Dynamo will miss Beasley on the field, as the 34 year-old has started 17 out of the 18 MLS matches Houston has played as far this season and has a grand total of 1,381 minutes to his name, the third most out of any Dynamo player this year.
