Cristiano Ronaldo backed for MLS transfer by Frank Lampard

Former England international Frank Lampard has told CNN Sport he thinks playing in the MLS would suit Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

There has been continuing speculation about the future of Ronaldo, 31, with a summer 2016 move to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United being mooted, with a reported shake-up at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu increasingly likely should the team not win anything this season.

Last month, Ronaldo said his current idea was to see out the remaining two years of his Madrid contract, while the Portugal captain said he is open to a move to MLS in the future.
