Columbus Crew SC took to the 2016 Superdraft with no glaring weaknesses. It also brought about the common adage, what do you get someone who has everything? Head coach and sporting director Gregg Berhalter has done a superb job of building his squad through solid transfers, talented academy products and savvy veterans from the old leadership group. Now Berhalter had the chance to add more young talent to his already well balanced roster.
With their first round pick, Crew SC took Florida Gulf Coast midfielder Rodrigo Saraiva. The Guatemalen midfielder had some unimpressive numbers, even for a holding midfielder, coming out of school with one goal and three assists in past two seasons.
