Since the birth of New York City FC, the sister club across the Atlantic, Manchester City has always had a connection. There’s been much debate between both clubs and what they mean to each other and after yesterday’s deadline day in Europe, the connection is becoming clearer.
If you didn’t know, NYCFC, Manchester City and Melbourne City have a partnership which allow them to loan players to each other for free. We saw this in NYCFC’s inaugural season when City loaned out youngsters Angelino and Shay Facey to New York.
The case of Manchester City loaning out another player to New York is a high possibility after acquriting the 19-year old midfielder, Yangel Herrera.
