Sometimes in MLS, things get weird. Stuff kind of just happens that cannot be explained, and certain results come out of nowhere. One of those results came on Wednesday night as the Chicago Fire destroyed Atlanta United 5-1 at SeatGeek Stadium.
All five goals came in the first half for the Men In Red, who only lost their clean sheet when Brandon Vazquez converted from the penalty spot in the second half. It was a magical night for Chicago and a disastrous one for the Five Stripes.
