After some up and down play throughout the month of July, the Fire will look to end the month on a high note when they play host to the New York Red Bulls. The Fire are coming off consecutive road defeats in MLS play to FC Dallas and New England, but will look to take advantage of some home cooking. Including the US Open Cup victory over Fort Lauderdale, Chicago has won three out of three home matches this month.
One issue the Fire have faced in trying to climb out of the conference cellar is goal scoring.
