Canada Vs Cuba: Player ratings – Jonathan David dominates… again

The Canadian Men’s National Team’s final group stage match has the team flying into the quarter-finals after a dominant 7-0 victory against Cuba. After a tough 3-1 defeat to tournament favorite Mexican, Canada bounced back to show their offensive prowess against an inferior opponent in Cuba.

Canadian manager John Herdman tweaked his starting XI for this one with a spot in the knockout stage all but secured before kick-off. As a result, veteran captain Atiba Hutchinson had the evening off, while the banged-up Mark-Anthony Kaye joined his skipper on the Canadian bench.

On the field, much of the play took place in the Cuban half of the pitch.
