If you’ve ever listened to the MLS Multiplex Show, you’ll know that I want nothing more than for the Timbers to make the playoffs, but in their current form it is impossible. No team can go winless on the road and expect to qualify for the MLS Cup Playoffs.
The nature of the playoffs makes it impossible for poor performing road teams to make deep runs, but none of that matters if a team cannot even make it to the playoffs. And the Timbers will not if they cannot find wins on the road.
