Atlanta United host Toronto FC in Wednesday night’s Eastern Conference Final at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. These teams have taken radically divergent paths during their respective playoff runs. Atlanta were in total control once again in their 2-0 victory over the Philadelphia Union in the previous round of the MLS playoffs. After taking an early lead via Julian Gressel, the Five Stripes dropped off and hit their opponents on the break before killing the game off in the 80th minute through the mercurial Pity Martinez.
