To save the reader some time, I have placed the “SNAFU” description on page 4 , which is the “Appendix” in case anyone wants to read about this statistical method. First up is table 1 comparing the NWSL league average with the player draft ranks below. The Grand Total is the most important column. The “Total Minus App” means it is the Grand Total minus the Appearance (playing time calculation). The players are then ranked out of about 205 players in the NWSL for this data. The data was compiled from my previous article comparing the 2016 rookie class, but was not necessary for that article.
