Before you push this thought out of your mind and completely disregard it, there are advantages for the Argentinian to move to the MLS at some point.
Obviously, still being in the prime of his career, it is highly unlikely that Messi will come to the MLS this summer. It is more likely that he could go to the Premier League or stay at Barcelona, but the move could happen after a couple of years, as it is many footballers that come to America after their career abroad is done.
But Messi could be different. America has been trying to raise the quality of the MLS and the country’s overall soccer talent.
