The 2017 MLS SuperDraft takes place Friday, Jan. 13 in Los Angeles. Throughout the week, over 60 college players will showcase their talent in front of all 22 MLS teams.
The league’s new expansion sides, Minnesota United FC and Atlanta United, hold the first and second pick in the draft, respectively.
There are a lot of talented players to choose from, but it’s difficult to say who’ll get picked when, especially since some players will see their value drop during the combine this week. Then there are the five graduates of the Generation adidas (GA) program. Because GA players’ salaries don’t count towards the cap, they tend to go early in the draft.
