Yankees' Tommy Kahnle to Undergo Tommy John Surgery on Elbow Injury

The New York Yankees' bullpen suffered a massive blow Friday with manager Aaron Boone announcing right-hander Tommy Kahnle will undergo Tommy John surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow.

Aaron Boone announces Tommy Kahnle will get Tommy John surgery. Kahnle got an MRI today and was placed on the 10-day IL (retroactive to 7/28) with a right UCL injury but now they won't see him again until at least 2021.

Kahnle had been dependable throughout his career, appearing in 72 games last year with a 3.
