Yankees News: Luis Severino Shut Down After Forearm Injury Diagnosed as Soreness

New York Yankees starter Luis Severino has been shut down with soreness in his right forearm.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Thursday that Severino will see team physician Dr. Chris Ahmad tomorrow.

Boone noted Severino has a loose body in his pitching elbow and the soreness dates back to his last playoff start against the Houston Astros on Oct. 15.

It's unclear at this point how significant the injury is or what impact it might have on Severino's availability for the start of the regular season.

Last season was a mess for Severino due to injuries.
